Along the Narayanghat-Butwal segment, a fast EV charging station opens

Kawasoti-11 in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) now has an electric vehicle rapid charging station.

Five small and large automobiles can be charged simultaneously at the charging station. With the help of the Nepal Electricity Authority, Bishnu Adhikari, a local, claimed to have installed the charging station on his five kattha of land. For this, a total of Rs 10 million was invested.

Additionally, he revealed that he had planned to run a “refreshment center” for truckers. The rapid charging station, the only one built along the 114-kilometer Narayanghat-Butwal road segment, offers the ability to charge electric vehicles around the clock.

According to Adhikari, the station can typically charge 50 cars a day, but issues have arisen because of the road’s delayed growth.

After the Narayanghat-Butwal road expansion project is finished, they also intend to install ten more nozzles, he said.
