Swarnim Wagle, Deputy Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), declared that his party is aiming to secure a majority in the upcoming general elections of 2084 BS to form the next government.
Speaking at a program organized by the Bhaktapur District Committee on the occasion of the party’s founding day this Sunday, Wagle urged party cadres to begin preparations for the 2084 elections.
Addressing the gathering, Wagle emphasized that the party’s mission is noble and should not be overshadowed by petty concerns. He advised members not to fear the loss of positions due to new entrants in the party.
“If someone more capable than me joins the party, I am ready to step down as Deputy Chairperson,” Wagle said, promoting a culture of meritocracy within the organization.
On a different note, Wagle acknowledged that the party is currently engaged in parliamentary struggles, which, he said, will continue. He mentioned that even after delivering his statement in Parliament, he walked out, signaling that their form of protest will persist.
