
Nepal is all set to welcome its own version of the global hit business reality show—Shark Tank Nepal, premiering on July 2. The show will air every Wednesday and Thursday at 9 PM on Himalayan TV, promising viewers an exciting ride into the world of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Meet the Sharks: Nepal’s Business Titans on the Panel
The inaugural season features five of Nepal’s most respected business leaders as Sharks:
- Hem Raj Dhakal – Co-founder, IME Group
- Cabinet Shrestha – Founder, Agni Group
- Ritu Singh Vaidya – Director, Vaidya’s Organisation
- Anand Bagaria – Managing Director, Nimbus Group
- Saurabh Jyoti – Director, Jyoti Group
Directed by Simos Sunuwar, the show is a part of the global Shark Tank franchise, distributed by Sony Pictures Television. Nepal becomes the 54th country to launch its version of the show.
What to Expect This Season
Over the course of 20 episodes, the show will feature 100 Nepali entrepreneurs, with five participants in each episode. These entrepreneurs will pitch their innovative ideas and existing businesses in hopes of securing life-changing investments. The Sharks are expected to collectively invest between Rs 350 million to Rs 400 million into the most promising ventures.
Eligibility and Application Process
The show is open to Nepali-registered businesses that have:
- Been in operation for at least one year
- Legally registered within Nepal
- Founders who are Nepali citizens
Entrepreneurs looking to scale up their ventures through strategic investment and mentorship are encouraged to apply via the official Shark Tank Nepal platform. The selection process includes an initial screening, document review, and interviews before finalists are chosen to pitch live on the show.
